BorealDash Great Shield Course Guide

Course Calibration • Inclusive Design

Accessibility Statement

At the High Flume Lookout, Grand Trail-Breaker Bohrim and Velocity Timekeeper Ralka calibrate every sightline, control mechanism, and timing read-out for clarity. BorealDash is designed so visitors across Canada can explore our parkour and reflex dash guides comfortably using keyboards, screen readers, reduced-motion preferences, and high-contrast displays.

WCAG 2.2 Level AA Conformance & Controls

Standards • Motion Control • Keyboard & Screen Reader Architecture

Operated by [Operator legal name] in [Operator country and province or state], BorealDash targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Every architectural bay, movement report, and verified facts strip is built with semantic HTML, high-contrast typography, and user-controlled motion.

1. Conformance Target & Scope

BorealDash aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across all pages of this website (The Course, Run Disciplines, About, Privacy Policy, and this Accessibility Statement). We align our design and front-end engineering practices with Canadian accessibility principles so teenagers and adults across Canada can read our independent game guides without barriers.

2. Silent Hero Video, Pause Control & Reduced Motion

Because BorealDash covers high-velocity parkour and obstacle games, we take particular care to ensure that motion on our own pages remains calm, predictable, and under the visitor's direct control:

  • Silent by Default: The opening hero animation on the home page is completely silent and contains no audio tracks, sudden sound effects, or auto-playing voiceovers.
  • Visible Pause / Play Control: A keyboard-focusable, clearly labelled Pause / Play toggle button is anchored in the upper-right corner of the hero stage so any visitor can halt or resume the video at any time with a single click, tap, or keypress.
  • Automatic Reduced-Motion Switching (prefers-reduced-motion): When your operating system or browser has prefers-reduced-motion: reduce enabled, BorealDash automatically disables the looping hero video and displays the crisp, full-colour static illustration in its place. In addition, all CSS scroll reveals, smooth scrolling, and hover transitions are reduced to instantaneous state changes.

Keyboard Navigation & Focus

Every interactive element—navigation links, mobile menu drawer, video pause button, expandable <details> verification drawers inside game facts strips, and external game links—is operable via standard keyboard controls (Tab, Shift + Tab, Enter, and Space). A prominent "Skip to main course content" link appears as the first focusable item on every page, and a high-visibility 3px cobalt focus ring marks your active position.

Colour Contrast & Touch Targets

Body copy and game reports are set in dark charcoal timber ink (#111615 and #2C322F) over sunlit Boreal Parchment Cream panels (#F4EEE1 and #FBF8F2), exceeding the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required for normal text and 3:1 for large display headings. Every link, button, and summary toggle meets or exceeds the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum target size of 24 × 24 CSS pixels.

3. Built-In Accessibility Specifications

4. Third-Party Publisher Websites

BorealDash is an independent informational guide. When you activate a "Play on Official Site" button—for example, to play Goober Dash, Under the Red Sky, Stickman Hook, Dreadhead Parkour, Level Devil, G-Switch 4, LOLBeans.io, Blumgi Slime, or Space Waves—you leave BorealDash and visit the external website operated by that game's developer or publisher.

Each external link includes a screen-reader announcement indicating that it opens an external official site. While we verify and report each game's price, in-game purchases, advertising, account requirements, and chat features in our facts blocks, we do not control the code, canvas rendering, keyboard remapping, or accessibility compliance of third-party games and publisher portals.

5. Accessible Formats, Communication Supports & Feedback

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of BorealDash. If you encounter a navigation barrier, a screen-reader issue, or a contrast problem on any page, or if you require our game guides, facts tables, or policies in an accessible format or with communication supports, please contact us directly:
